Review: Ever Bilena Matte in DUSK

So last week, my mom and I went to Watsons. I wanted to try something different for my everyday look so this time, I was looking for a nice shade of dark brown..

I've done some researches first and I've came across EB Matte in Dusk! EB Mattes are popular here in the Philippines because they are quality yet affordable pigmented lipsticks! Perfect for everyday use plus they offer a wide range of shades! This is just my second EB Matte lipstick. I had Mauve before and I didn't like the shade that much because it seems nothing / invisible when applied on my lips (read my review about that) so this time, I want to try a darker shade.

I've been contemplating if I should get Dusk or Toast of New York! Toast of NY is just a little lighter than Dusk.

Been using this for one week now and I love it! But look!! Haha it seems like it's going to fall off anytime!! Good thing it retails for only P165 or approx $4. 

Dusk has a deep and dark brown color with a touch of brick red!! Sounds complicated right? But it is really pretty!! It doesn't look cheap when applied unlike a certain product that I once tried!

Oh btw, did I mention that you can see the shade even without opening the tube? Makes it easier for every girl to look for a certain shade in a collection of lipsticks :)

Forgive my face! I just woke up from 12 hours of sleep that's why excuse me from using a Snapchat filter! Haha! So this is my bate face. Did not put anything!

Dusk when applied! See? It creates an impression and an impact on point. You need not to put blush on just to pull off a look!

When I go to work, I usually put on foundation, powder, fix my eyebrows and apply this Dusk lipstick then I'm good to go. It lasts long as well (around 4hours)!! However, I need to reapply after eating lunch and before going home. I'm not complaining though cause it is really good for it's price!! Will definitely try more shades from EB Matte collection.

Review: Chulips Lipbalm

Let me just share to you one of my purchases when I went to Japan! :) I found this lipbalm similar to EOS Lipbalms' packaging and presentation but this one is a little cuter!! 

Forgive me for the low quality photos!! I was so excited to use it :))

I can't read Japanese therefore I cannot understand what it says on the packaging.. I can see somehow that it is SPF22 plus it is a lipbalm that glides on your lips smoothly.

I can remember that there are a wide variety of chumchum characaters! I chose Daisy Duck because it was pink!! :) 

It looks so cute!! I bought this merely because it was cute and pink. I didn't know it's flavor and everything else was going to be a surprise.

Tadaaaa! It is very much similar to EOS! 

Finally time to try it! It was a Wednesday morning at school.. I can't last a day without putting on lipbalm because my lips are dry.. My everyday lipbalm ran out already so I decided to use this one! It glides smoothly on my lips.. However, I'm still unsure of its flavor. It has a hint of mind and it is somehow sweet at the same time!

It stays on my lips long that's why Inlove it! The onky downside is... It is very bulky to ne put inside my small everyday make-up kit! :)

Digital Perm in Mary Pauline Salon

So I have finally decided to have my hair permed AGAIN. This is my second time but now, I'm trying the digital way of perming.. My first one was done through traditional perming which I also blogged here!! So if you have time to go through my old posts, you'll probably see it. 

I had my hair done in Mary Pauline Salon, Timog. I personally know the owner, Ms Mary Pauline.. Hi Ms Pauline! She gave me a huge discount so I immediately grabbed this opportunity.. Digital perming costs a fortune in other salons!! 

Here are the procedures that were done:

1. They washed my hair and put on some chemicals. This lasted for about 60-90 minutes. They said that it is the same chemical they use for rebonding :)

2. They put on the rods!! Yaay! This is it! The number of rods that will be used depends on how thick your hair is.. Some salons (I think) have different sizes.. They only have one size here though.. I told them that I wanted big curls or just wavy hair.. 

3. They connected all the rods in a machine.. The machine will be the one to release heat for my hair to curl. This will take about 1-2hours :)

4. The machine was turned off but the rods stay. They put another chemical which I don't know what is it called.. They said it was for cooling down and for setting and locking the curls.. :) 

5. The hardest part was the waiting time!! Haha! I have to wait for another 60-90 minutes! After this, they washed my hair and it was finish! :) 

Tadaaaa! How do you like my new hair? They didn't put anything on it but they advised me not to wash it for 2 days.. :) They also said that the curls will still be more defined as time passes by. I was just shocked it didn't turn out the way I expected it to be.. However, I still like how it turned out. 

After an hour of having my perm done. It looks shaggy and thick! Huhu! 

The morning after that.. This is how my hair looks like. Shocks I want to take a bath akready but I still can't. Looks like I've been into a fight!!! Huhuhu I'm really scared it will turn out to be like this everyday.. At one point, I thought of going to a salon to have my hair rebonded instead!! Huhu. I rushed into the nearest drugstore and bought Curl Defining Milk.. So I could use it immediately after taking a bath..

Finally I took a bath already and applied curl defining milk immediately.. 

After putting curl defining milk.. Here's how it looks like.. Wheew.. I'm relieved it's not that shaggy anymore!! 

3rd day having my perm..

4th day having my perm.. It's true!! The curls will get better and will be more defined! Yaay! I'm finally happy with it.

After a week of having it done!! Yehey!! :) It's pretty good! No combing and brushing needed though I have to put defining milk every morning.

2 weeks of having my hair done :) I felt like my hair became longer all of a sudden?? Haha

Almost a month already!! What do you think?

Ella's Lashes and Nails Salon, Boni Mandaluyong

Before the holidays, my niece and I decided to have our eyelash extensions. Our first choice was to have it done in Oh My Lash.. Since it's just our first time, we opted for a cheaper choice!! Hahaha!

Went to Ella's Lashes and Nails Salon along Boni in Mandaluyong.

Here's their price list. Both of us availed the Barbie Doll Curl Lashes for only 399!

Here's my niece having her lashes done.. It takes about 1 hour to finish the whole extension procedure.

Done! Her new lashes look natural.. Barbie Doll lashes are alternate of size 10 and 8.

Some lashes are have been removed already.. It tends to be itchy at night so I scratch it.. Haha! Plus, they have the tendency to "stick together" so you need to "comb" them using toothpick or old mascara brush.. 

Personally and honestly, having eyelash extension tends to be uncomfortable because sometimes it tends to be heavy plus I can't wash and wipe my face properly because I'm scared I might easily lose them.. BUT it's worth a try!! You don't need to put mascara everyday!! Just put your lipstick on and you're good to go :)

Will I have my eyelash extensions again? Yes, but I might try Oh My Lash this time! :)

EB Advance Supreme Lipstick in Red Twilight (Matte)

If you live in the Philippines then you probably know Yaya Dub.. Yaya Dub aka Maine Mendoza is one of every girl's icon here when it comes to wearing red lipsticks!! So while browsing instagram, I've stumbled upon her post wearing a very nice shade of red which happens to be Loreal.. I immediately wanted to go to the mall to look and buy for it but to my surprise, it was out of stock!! :(

I passed by the stall of Ever Bilena and I heard some customers say they were looking for a nice color of red.. The staff replied that they have their best sellers which are Vamp Red and Red Twilight :) I wanted to see and try those two so I asked the staff for some swatches.

The staff said that the Red Twilight is better because it beling to the Supreme line which are just newly released.

And out of wanting a nice Yaya Dub-looking-lips, I wanted to try this.

Above are the ingredients:) Though it's matte, it contains moisturizers so that the lips won't dry easily/too much.

It comes in a white plastic bullet tube which is somehow similar to MAC's bullet lipsticks (but this one is white) :)

I'm excited to try this!! I'm a red-lipstick fan eversince!! :) 

It may appear really dark and intimidating to use at first.. :)

But I'm pretty sure girls of any color can pull this off! Oh by the way, it smells like blueberries!! Yum!

Tadaaa!! I love how it reminds me of my all time favorite red-- MAC's Ruby Woo. It's a warm shade of red and at the same time very wearable. I don't mind wearing this everyday at work and did I mention that it is very affordable? It retails for only P195 per tube!! :) 

I just hope that it lasts long and not too drying! :) I suggest you out very thin lipbalm first before using this! :) I'm happy with this product but I still want to look for Yaya Dub's red lipstick! Haha!
