Lazada Experience! Seagate Backup Plus

Yay can I just congratulate myself from actually buying an external hard drive already? I've been wanting to have one for the longest time already but it seems to be heavy on my budget :))

Okay fast forward.. My co-teacher's laptop got busted and doesn't want to open anymore. All her files are there including pictures from the past years, all her quizzes and activity sheets and presentations.. The worst part is -- she doesn't have a back-up.

This made me instantly decide on buying an external hard drive already. Went to Rockwell but it was hella expensive.. P4,000 pesos for 1TB (Seagate brand).  Went home empty handed :) Searched online and found out that the same hard drive I'm eyeing on is a lot cheaper in Lazada.com so yeah, I ordered. It's around 800 pesos cheaper ;) What a jackpot! By the way, this is already my second time to order at Lazada. The first one was when I ordered their Buy 1, Take 1 Romoss Powerbank (for a very cheap price too!).

When I ordered, it says that it'll arrive after 7-8 days but I was surprised it came earlier than expected!! I'm so happy and excited to transfer files!
Came in just after 2 days!! Plus you have the option to pay for the product when it is already actually on your hands!
Bubble wrapped!!! I'm so so so excited!! :)

Yehey!!! This'll be very useful especially my laptop's about to give up on me already! Must start backing-up!!
Product's sealed. Side story: while searching from their list of hard drives, I'm actually tempted to buy a different brand but I remembered a friend who told me that Seagate brand is better than Toshiba, Transcend and Samsung. Those brands have the tendency to be corrupt so all your files will be corrupted too.
Got the silver one though my first choice is to get a white one :) Why not white? Oh because it's more expensive by 300 pesos! Haha!

I'm going to share to you how my new external hard drive works or a mini review on how fast you can transfer files from your computer to this thing soon when I finish backing-up already! :)

My Nursery Classroom AY 2015-2016

Yes. I'm a preschool teacher!! :) Today, I'm going to share to you what my classroom looks like. I teach the youngest pupils in the school where I work which is the Nursery level (ages 2.6-3).

I work with a partner teacher and most of the designs that you'll see is her idea and her materials (Hi Ms. Cecille!) I just want to share some ideas if you're planning to decorate or redecorate a (class)room for children.

So let's start with our board or the front area.

We have 2 panel boards where we can slide going to the middle to see the gallery where we post the children's artworks.

On the upper left side you can see the following: Calendar, weather chart and attendance.
On the lower left side are the colors with 1 example per color. We change what's on this board every term depending on what's our topic for Math.
We have the alphabets on the middle part so the children will be familiarize with the letters. Plus we also have our schedule cards for our daily schedule on the right most part of the board.
The one on top is the white screen where we can just pull down when we need to flash something from the projector.
On the upper right side is where the Augustinian Value of the Month is posted..
On the lower right side is our classroom rules.

When you slide the panel boards going to the middle, you'll be able to see the gallery or the artworks of the children..

We use a small hook and put a hole on every artwork so we can easily compile and hang the artworks altogether.
We have 4 round tables and on top of each table, we put hanging hot air balloons of different colors so they'll know which color group or table they are seated in.

We also put a small "hanging place" or Reading corner at the back most and made it look like they're under a big tree. They are free to get a book on the sode and sit there to read.

These are our cubby holes! We decided to put owls inside and on the side :)

This is a panoramic shot of our classroom. We have some additional cubbies near the front door for their materials and some cabinets for their books and toys.

I'm happy with the result of our classroom! It's very colorful and very enticing for children!! Though we have to remember that there should not be so much distractions around the children because most of them have very short attention span already and they might get bored easily so you might want to redecorate the room again ;))

Share yours?

2015 Personal Goals

What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven't happened yet :) Alright! Let me enumerate my personal goals for this new year and hopefully by the end of the year all of these things are ticked off already!

  • SAVE. My personal goal is to save at least half of what I earn monthly. How will I achieve it? Maybe by listing down top priorities of where my money will go. Plus a money tracker will help too. Oh maybe scratching off eating often in restaurants.
  • EXERCISE. I'm in my best mood to exercise last 2013 up to the first half of 2014. But when I transferred to my new work place, I already forgot what the word exercise means. Haha! So now, my personal goal is to at least jog / do cardio at least 2-3 times a week.
  • TRAVEL. 2014 is not my year for travelling. I realized I did not even hit the beach that's why I'm really itching to get my dose of Vitamin Sea already. Anyway, my goal for this year is to go to several places in the Philippines and outside the Philippines. I'm excited.
  • READ. This is my goal every year but I keep on failing. Motivation, please come and visit me!! My goal is to read the Harry Potter series for this year plus finish reading the two other books of The Hunger Games and more more more books. Fingers crossed!
  • WRITE. I should practice writing more often and that includes writing my lesson plan, writing random nothings, writing random blog posts and maybe by simply practice my hand writing. Haha!
  • 2015 PHOTO DIARY. I made an attempt of this one for my 2014 wherein I have to post one picture a day for the whole year. I failed and wasn't able to complete all the 365 pictures and were only able to take 196 photos. I hope this year, I'll be able to complete it already and document every single day of my 2015.
  • HAPPINESS JAR. I'll be filling up an empty jar by putting small notes with something good that happened to me that day or what made me happy for 365 days. I hope I'll be able to complete this too!
AHHH 2015!! Let's bring it on! I'm EXCITED!!
